Terms of Service

By accessing or using EthioGold, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of EthioGold.

EthioGold is a record-keeping and price-reference tool designed for Ethiopian gold traders, brokers, and small gold businesses. We provide: • Live and manually configurable gold price references in ETB and USD. • Digital ledger functionality for recording purchases and sales. • Inventory tracking and profit-monitoring calculations. • Exportable reports for your own business records. **Important**: EthioGold is a software tool for personal and business record-keeping. We do **not**: • Buy, sell, trade, broker, or hold physical gold on your behalf. • Provide investment, financial, or legal advice. • Guarantee the accuracy of third-party market data or exchange rates. • Act as a bank, payment processor, or financial institution regulated by the National Bank of Ethiopia.

As a user of EthioGold, you acknowledge and agree that: • Gold trading in Ethiopia is subject to regulation by the **National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE)** and other relevant Ethiopian authorities. You are solely responsible for ensuring your gold trading activities comply with all applicable NBE directives, customs regulations, and commercial registration requirements. • EthioGold does not validate the legality of your transactions or your business licensing status. You must possess all necessary permits and licenses required by Ethiopian law to engage in gold trading. • You will not use EthioGold to record, facilitate, or conceal unlawful transactions, including but not limited to smuggling, money laundering, or unlicensed trading. • All transaction records entered are your own responsibility. EthioGold is not liable for errors in data entry or for losses arising from inaccurate record-keeping on your part.

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering contracts under Ethiopian law. • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or are used in violation of these terms.

• Gold price data displayed in EthioGold is sourced from publicly available market data or entered manually by you. We do not guarantee real-time accuracy. • Market prices fluctuate constantly. The prices shown should be used as a reference only, not as a binding rate for any transaction. • If you set manual price overrides, you are responsible for the accuracy of those figures. EthioGold is not liable for trading decisions made based on price information within the app.

To the maximum extent permitted by Ethiopian law: • EthioGold and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. • Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to EthioGold in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ETB 1,000 (whichever is greater). • We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You use the service at your own risk.

You may not use EthioGold to: • Violate any Ethiopian federal or regional law, including NBE foreign-exchange and precious-metals regulations. • Engage in fraud, money laundering, or financing of illicit activities. • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts. • Upload malicious software, spam, or interfere with the proper working of the service. • Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from our software without written consent.

• We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the service. • Upon termination, your right to use EthioGold ceases immediately. Data retention after termination is subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable Ethiopian record-keeping laws. • These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be resolved through the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, unless both parties agree to alternative dispute resolution.
